John-John Aid Concert to be greatest in history of world

John-John Aid Concert to be greatest in history of world

You have your Farm Aid and your other aids, all geared toward bringing in money and attention to a specific cause...so why not take on many causes at once, and give a concert for those who can help all the great humanitarian causes?

Well, it has begun, with last night's show of diversity and talent at Radio City Music Hall, but it is not over. I hope and predict that the Dream Team will attract a Dream Concert which will amass the greatest artists and musicians of our day...the world over. Beatles, Stones, Pink Floyd, Moody Blues, King Crimson, Genesis, Yes, Phillip Glass Ensemble, Radiohead, Eels, Roberta Flack, Stevie Wonder, Psycho Serious, Naked Karma, The Shins, Fripp & Eno, Thompson Twins, Joanne Shenandoah, The Smiths, Depeche Mode, Beth Orton, Joni Mitchell, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Youngbloods, Turtles, Buffalo Springfield, Patti Smith, Gorecki, Arvo Part, Morton Subotnick, Josh Joplin, Josh Grobin, Andrea Bocelli, Scott Truel, Chris Chalfant, Steve Reich, Gryphon, Talking Heads, Van Der Graff Generator, Faust, Jim Beckwith & Native Vibe, Frocky Jack, Megajesus, David Bowie, Kate Bush, Dead Can Dance, Lisa Gerrard, This Mortal Coil, Cocteau Twins, Willie Nelson, Dixie Chicks, Atomic Rooster, PFM, Mother Whale Eyeless, Cream, Aborted Mozarts, Iron Butterfly, Traffic, Led Zeppelin, Byrds, Yardbirds, Beck, Jeff Beck, and so on...

Last night's fundraiser brought out such shining lights as Paul Newman, Meryl Streep and Whoopie Goldberg...as well as a host of other brave and wondrous souls...who needn't apologize that they are not Dennis Miller, Ted Nugent or Lee Greenwood.
