David Beckham tops Britain's celebrity list

David Beckham tops Britain's celebrity list
According to a new study into celebrity worship by the University of Leicester, Beckham's appeal scores over Hollywood: he is over twice as popular as Brad Pitt and Justin Timberlake combined.

And he is more than a match for Angelina Jolie, Keanu Reeves and Britney Spears put together.

Here is his chart in Spanish.

Was Bush a Deserter...or simply AWOL?

EXCERPT from the website:
AWOL----absent for 30 days or less.
Desertion-----absent for more than 30 days with evidence of no intent to return to duty.
Is he guilty of one or both? You read the facts here and decide.

This is not the story of a search for missing records. We have the pertinent records.

This is not a hunt for credible eyewitnesses and first hand statements. The officers involved have stepped forward. We have their testimony and we have the signed statements of those no longer living.

This is the story of how George Walker Bush walked away from a years duty while in the National Guard.

And, this is the story of how he has thus far gotten away with it.

Common Sense for a New Century by Howard Dean, MD

Gov. Howard Dean's modern answer to the great pamphleteer and American, Thomas Paine
EXCERPT:
Over two hundred years ago, Thomas Paine wrote a pamphlet that would light the fire that forged our nation. He called it “Common Sense.” Passed from hand to hand, patriot to patriot, it was a call to action for those Americans who believed their government had to change. It spelled out the values of a new republic. And King George III—who had forgotten his own people in favor of special interests—was replaced by a government of, by and for the people. America was born.

Bush Plans to Invade Cuba in Election Coup

Bush/Moonie "Axis of Stupid" propaganda mouthpiece, The Washington Times trying to manufacture consent for attack on Cuba, in time to win Cuban-American votes in Florida

Realizing it is the only chance for to win re-election, the Bush Administration is planning for a fantastic invasion of Cuba, and perhaps a few other goofy places like Syria, Iran, and so on.

"This will also help his bribe-infested pal, Ariel, who is embriared within scandal", said Anonymoses correspondent, Surreal McCoy.
"There is a little truth in everything".

"Even the Washington Times", I inquired.

"Touche!"

Why does everyone hate Diane Sawyer's hair?

Everyone privately snickers about Diane Sawyer's seemingly unchangeable helmit of a hairdo, so when she made fun of Howard Dean's wife's hair, one could not help but think: "How sad that no one has the nerve to tell her of the log in her own hair."

"Oh, but she thinks it looks great! Why do you think she never changes it?" said cosmetologist, I.P. Rivers, 211 Ocean Boulevard, Myrtle Beach, SC 30122-6453. "Personally, I think Mrs. Dean has nearly perfect hair. And beyond that, I think the subject is adolescent and beneath even the worst of journalism freshmen. How long has she been in bidness? A hundred years?"

Mr. Rivers has a good point. Where most people hope to get better and better at their craft with age, Mrs. Sawyer seems to be showing signs of senility.

But alone, she is not. Even archons of the trade, such as Jennings, Koppel and Brokaw, seem to have sold their impartiality to the highest bidder. And impartiality is the gold newspersons once sought to achieve in their quest for the the grail of truth, the nail of everyday crosses, the syntax beyond the decree.

And this is why poor Diane needs to be clayaikenized. Made anew. Transvolved.

Kisses all.

Wes Clark continues the work of Martin Luther King

We Have Not Overcome...

General Wesley K. Clark
Remarks For Dr. Martin Luther King Day Rally
Columbia, SC
January 19, 2004

EXCERPT:

"when a political party can suppress the vote and steal a presidential election - when a man can sit in the White House when the only vote he's won took place in the U.S. Supreme Court - then my friends, we still have not overcome.
...
We saw it in the election of 2000, and right here in South Carolina in 2002, when African Americans were turned away from the polls, purged from the rolls, and intimidated when they showed up to vote.
Today, all too often, it's one person one vote if you live in the right county. And if you vote at the right machine. And if your name is on the right list. And if your skin is the right color.

Well, last I checked, there was no "if" in the 15th Amendment. Last I checked, one person one vote wasn't just a slogan - it was the highest law of this land. And I'm not going to rest until every single American can cast their vote and make their voice heard.
...
Half a century ago, Dr. Martin Luther King led us in a great struggle to redeem the promise of our Constitution for all our people - to create a nation where all of us are truly judged not "by the color of [our] skin, but by the content of [our] character."

And today, it's up to us to continue his work.

Scripture tells us to be "confident of this very thing - that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it." My friends, Dr. Martin Luther King began a great work inside each and every one of us - and today, we must commit ourselves anew to completing it.

That's why I'm running for President of the United States - to finish the work Dr. King began, to make his daring dream a daring reality, and to bring a higher standard of leadership back to Washington, DC.

And I hope that all of you will walk with me by my side in this great journey."

When I saw this great, great, speech on SC Public Television, I felt that here, in Wesley Clark, was a great man equal to the task set forth by Abraham, Martin and John. And I pray to God that he is not received with the same lack of welcome. So far, the Media seems to want to thwart the good Mr. Clark at every turn.

If only they saw that they are on the wrong side of history. And all for the fine booty the overstuffed Bush coffers will lay at their door. Big Media votes with it's own pocketbook...and they stand to win big with Bush and his barrel of millions. But every day that Tom then Peter then Dan takes the bait and sells their soul...I hear yet another complain about how they no longer like or trust them.

It is already showing. But they could plug the leak in their character before it is irredeemable. The Dennis Millers of the world will fall from "grace" at the first gaff, since the strings that move them are made of cheap silk.

The fine gentlemen who representing the Democratic Party will not stand being Gored again. At least Fox replaced the laughable Tony Snow with a much less partial Chris Wallace. Why are the networks turning into Tony Snows?

Here's what you do: Sneak a copy of Meister Eckhart's sermons, and read up on "Disinterest". Then you will see what wild riches may be won by simply being impartial, indifferent, disinterested...meaning no special interest is pulling your strings.

If anyone is depended upon to be impartial, it is the News.
We wouldn't tolerate a doctor telling us all sorts of spin about our condition, why should we accept it from what could be social doctors?

Quit thwarting Wesley Clark in his mission to manifest Martin Luther King's great vision. Remember the boycotts too. They are not simply a tool of history. And the Media is not immune. Think at the top of your intelligence. Act from the top of your being. Quit being Mammoniacal whores. Do it for your mother.

ABOUT THE READING ROOM, AND WES CLARK'S OPENNESS DOCTRINE
Wes Clark believes in open government. In addition to releasing his own records, Clark has put forward a two-part plan to reverse the Bush Administration's secrecy policies and to make his administration the most open presidency in history:

Establish an Openness Doctrine:

Restrict the assertion of executive privilege.
Eliminate secret task forces.
Disclose all meetings with special interests.
Require lobbyists to reveal more.
Use the Internet to make government transparent.
Reverse Bush Secrecy Policies:
End hiding of documents through classification extension and FOIA rollbacks.
End the stonewall of the investigation of September 11th and Bush's Energy Task Force.
"It's time President Bush played it straight with the American people," Clark said. "President Bush has shut the people out of government and told them they have no right to know what he says to special interests in the Oval Office. As President, my administration will be an open book. We need a higher standard of leadership in Washington."

Jennings, Hume looked splotchy in weak FOX production of Democratic Debate

Last night's Democratic Debate made one thing clear. Fox has poor production values. Did you see how bad Jennings and Hume looked in that horrible light? FOX...leave it to the experts, and go back to spreading Bush propaganda. It's what you are paid to do, after all. But I do hope you understand the gross disservice you are doing to America. Bad information is worse than no information at all. ou are creating a society of morons...who do not even see the hoodwink you have slipped over their little heads, probably during a sneak-and-peak.

Is Bush Insane?

Flabby, big-earred man touches heads with Bush.

Now that the anti-Dean forces (Corporate Media, etc) have opened the door to question sanity, or the lack thereof, it is, I presume, fair and balanced to also question the sanity, or lack thereof, of Bush and his administration. Fox is to be credited for making impartiality a quality to shoot for...even though they are the most egregious hypocrites of all, since they are a pure mouthpiece for one side only.

Is George W Bush insane? Google has roughly 55,000 websites that broach the question...whereas only about 40,000 references come up for Bill Clinton.

Clark Community Network || Techniques for improving the campaign AND world Take the poll!

New Bush Law: "No one can now doubt the word of America."

Capital Games: "'No one can now doubt the word of America.' "

George has a peculiar habit, and it's practically an institution by now. He will say things which have more than one meaning. For example, last night, in the State of the Union address, he says: "No one can now doubt the word of America.". Well, to some people, foreigners in particular, but not just them, it means that it is now illegal to doubt the word of America...meaning, frankly, him. A metonymy he stole.

Someone should ask him if that is what he means, and then make sure he clarifies it. As Erich Fromm once said: "Civilization was born in an act of disobedience...and is likely to end in an act of obedience."

General Clark to appear on Nightline tonight

Heads up, political junkies...
It may be his Grand Opening...

Pelosi, Daschle Hit Homerun!

TTonight's response to the president was, by far, the best I have ever heard. Kudos to Leaders Pelosi and Daschle. I am reassured.

BUSH BOOED!

Bush was booed at his State of the Union address.
Hey! You gotta make it your own, dawg!

Fox News is on delay. What are they afraid of?

Subtle Boos and the Silent Handclap

Will the Democrats cheer and clap for the faux President during the State of the Disunion address? If so...why?

Keep your mouth slightly open, and without gesturing...emit the word, "Boo" as loudly as you can without being detected. Great fun...and effective! Another fun thing to do is to see how close together you can bring your hands without actually clapping. Or, alternatively, to allow them to touch at odd angles. The point is that little or no sound should issure therefrom.

The first practice is tonight...during the address to the nation.

Yahoo! News - Survey Finds Kerry Leads Tight Iowa Race

Kerry may have won Iowa. He was leading last I checked.
BUT...Clark is not in this one. Will we need TWO military men?
If Clark seizes NH, it may be wise to choose a less militaristic candidate...like Dean or Edwards for the Number 2 slot.

This is only the start. Clark changes everything.

Personally...I think the Big Media is pushing Kerry...so look out!
