Daily Kos || Media not doing it's job. Good.
Daily Kos || Political Analysis and other daily rants on the state of the nation.: "The media has one overriding job this campaign season -- to whittle the field. For several decades now, the mass media has had the power to drive candidates out of the race by simply ignoring them, by pulling coverage and by showering attention on the perceived front-runners. "

U.S. Military 'Sure' to Catch Bin Laden, but Bush Unsure of the Consequences
Yahoo! News - U.S. Military 'Sure' to Catch Bin Laden
Is it time to say "yeah"? Or is it a time to reflect upon the potential consequences?
I am frankly a little tired of all the dying.
As the Tao te Ching says, "a victory is a funeral". May we all have wisdom.

Clyburn turns back on ML King
Wesley Clark vowed to continue in the legacy of Martin Luther King. But I guess that wasn't good enough for Mr. Clyburn. I wonder how much he was paid for his endorsement?
Rush Limbaugh goes insane, screams, pounds fist
Rush went crazy on his show today, making Dean's so-called scream -- which was really an attempt to be heard above the roar of applause --
sound like whispers. Rush is a hypocrite. He is a hothead. Moreover...he is obsolescent.

I personally think Edwards should take Clark under his wing, and vice versa. Since Clark has more votes than Edwards, and is order and more experienced...they ought to team up under Clark/Edwards. This way the Media could not ignore Clark.
Just a thought...

Antidepressant Makers Withhold Data on Children (washingtonpost.com): "Makers of popular antidepressants such as Paxil, Zoloft and Effexor have refused to disclose the details of most clinical trials involving depressed children, denying doctors and parents crucial evidence as they weigh fresh fears that such medicines may cause some children to become suicidal. Big Media Kills Dean and Clark. What to Do.
Americans have a right to be pissed. The elite 1%ers in the Big Media have killed off two of our great bretheren, and are about to kill off yet more.
Dean and Clark are the most recent casualties. ABC News, to their credit, showed a tape of Dean's famous scream recorded by a member in the crowd. You couldn't even hear Dean. And why? Because Dean was using a unidirectional mic...and it filtered out the roar, and I mean ROAR, of the crowd. Were that the tape that was played and replayed and replayed and replayed and replayed...Dean would be Number 1 today. Guarantee it. Business attracts business. Excitement breeds excitement. And the ROAR was proof of the excitement.
The Big Media killed, or are killing, Dean. It is a disgrace.
But they have killed, or are in the process of killing off, Clark as well.
They realize how formidable opponent he would be, just as they know how contagious Dean can be.
It is a disgrace. It is substandard. And Clark is right. We need a higher standard.
Don't let the Media convince you of their game that says the game is over before it actually is. Why not use the entire time? Keep everyone in the race.
One thing is crystal clear. Television is obsolete. Use the net, Luke! Say no to your TV.

The Republicans and Media are scared shitless of General Clark rising. They are doing everything in their power to write him off, hoping we will think he cannot get the job done. But he CAN get the job done. And I'm sick of the Media and Republicans picking the players....

"John Edwards is the best political talent in years." (So why are we overlooking him?)
John Edwards: Welcome
I keep hearing very smart talkingheads tell us that John Edwards is the best political talent in years...or some variant thereof. So why are Democrats choosing lesser talents? Do they really NOT want to win?
When it comes to raw talent, I also think Wes Clark is doing a great job...and has the added benefit of having a great message. He, like Edwards, are most formidable. MOST formidable.
The Republicans and Media know this, and are demarketing Edwards and Clark. They are, frankly, afraid of a Clark/Edwards ticket. Scared to death. And they are in a hurry for Democrats to remove them from the table.
Don't play into their hands.
Big Media are part of the problem. Not the solution.
Are not Clark and Edwards the real face of America...at its best?
Polls are there to trip you up, on your way to your conscience. Think with your own head and heart. This is not the time to lock out great candidates.

"The press has been eagerly dismantling Howard Dean." - Tod Lindberg on the Diane Rehm Show
So, shall we eagerly dismantle the Press?
Although I tend to think that Clark/Edwards would be the strongest ticket, I like and respect Dr. Dean and would certainly consider him to be in the real top tier, and would would vote for him in a heartbeat. He is a brother Democrat. As Democrats, we should be enraged by the mistreatment of a brother.

"George W. Bush is a deserter, an election thief, a drunk driver, a WMD liar and a functional illiterate."
Michael Moore.com : Mike's Message : Messages: "I would like to apologize for referring to George W. Bush as a 'deserter.' What I meant to say is that George W. Bush is a deserter, an election thief, a drunk driver, a WMD liar and a functional illiterate. And he poops his pants. In fact, he “shot a man in Reno just to watch him die.'
Actually, what I meant to say up in New Hampshire last week was that 'We're going to have Bush for dessert come November!' I'm always mixing up 'dessert' and 'desert' -- I'm sure many of you have that problem.
Well, well, well. As George W. would say, 'It's time to smoke ‘em out of their hole!' Thanks to my 'humorous' introduction of Wesley Clark 10 days ago in New Hampshire -- and the lughead way the no-sense-of-humor media has covered it -- there were 15 million hits this weekend on my website. Everyone who visited the site got to read the truth about Bush not showing up for National Guard duty. "

STAR-TELEGRAM.COM - Fort Worth Dallas news: "Anyway, the reason we owe this man (whom, by the way, I do not support for president) an apology is because we say that we want our presidents to be one of us. But when they act like one of us, then we beat them up and say they are not acting presidential."

The New Republic Online: Standard Issue
Here is that well-crafted piece of bias which may well bring down the House of Bush, if not their house of cards:
General Clark, a lot of people say they don't [know] you well, so this is really a simple question about knowing a man by his friends. The other day you had a rally here, and one of the men who stood up to endorse you is the controversial filmmaker Michael Moore. You said you were delighted with him.
At one point, Mr. Moore said, in front of you, that President Bush--he's saying he'd like to see you, the general, and President Bush, who he called a "deserter."
Now, that's a reckless charge not supported by the facts. And I was curious to know why you didn't contradict him, and whether or not you think it would've been a better example of ethical behavior to have done so.
My rabbit owes his life to Mr. Moore. How dare you, Sir!

Which Democratic Candidate saved 1.5 million people from genocide? Wesley Clark...: "So for the last four months, General Clark has had to spend most of his time not only campaigning for votes but also simply introducing himself - telling people who he is, explaining to them where Kosovo is, and doing other things that might seem beneath a man who, arguably, saved 1.5 million people from genocide."
